21 shooting days, 125 film minutes with 26 main characters are behind us. Thank you for the ups and downs, the inspiration, the funny, the longing, the hopeful and the sad moments in front of the camera. I am looking forward to the editing and the episodes 1014 – 1018!

On August 23rd 2021, I will start shooting five new episodes of the children’s and youth series SCHLOSS EINSTEIN. Together with my DOP, Fee Scherer, and 1. AD, Bernd Reinink, I am looking forward to new stories and the many, partly new kids in front of the camera.

The finale of the 24th season of SCHLOSS EINSTEIN is coming up and with it the anniversary of the children’s and youth series on the Kinderkanal. The 1000th episode under my direction will premiere on May 21st 2021 on KIKA at 2:35 pm. Afterwards, there will be the “Secrets of Schloss Einstein” with lots of behind-the-scenes information from the cast.
This is, what the episode is about:
Flora’s negative energy seems to have jumped over to Dr. Berger. He single-handedly pursues a plan with serious consequences. The Einsteiners must help to prevent the worst. At least Flora realizes that hatred is no solution. Together with Moritz, she wants to set an example that will be remembered for a long time! Bela must also remain, or rather, he remains stuck. However, he does not want help, but something else.

After 15 colorful and packed days of filming, a wonderful time in Thuringia is coming to an end. The story of ZITTERINCHEN, the new TV fairy tale by Kinderfilm Produktion from Erfurt, is wrapped. It was a pleasure to direct this inspiring time full of colorful ideas with a great cast and team. And now I’m looking forward to editing!

My episode 999 of the mystery season of SCHLOSS EINSTEIN is on! The premiere will be on 20st May 2021 at 14:35 pm at KIKA.
Here’s what it’s about: After the breakup with Flora, Reena feels quite alone. Her mood does not improve, when she has to take part in the cross-country race. And then Gustav gets in her way! He only takes part, because Hermann has entered him as a prank. Not his thing at all – and he’s not alone in that. After Finja’s attempt to bring Flora to her senses has failed, Paul and especially Joyce energetically help. Is that the solution?

The second episode of SCHLOSS EINSTEIN, that I directed, will celebrate its TV premiere on May 19th, 2021 at 2:35 pm at KIKA. It’s season 24, episode 998:
Leni and Cäcilia’s relationship is about to take the next step – what to do when Cäcilia is called up to the Olympic squad? The two put their relationship to a special test. Meanwhile, Sibel is really cleaning up – all the memories of Pawel. He tries to save what can be saved, but fails all along the line. Finja wants to counter Flora’s destructive energy with surprising help.

On May 18th, 2021 at 2:35 pm KIKA will broadcast the first of my four episodes from the 24th season of SCHLOSS EINSTEIN. Episode 997 is about:
Hauser tries to cheer Anton up, but is completely in the dark about what Anton’s problem actually is. Bela apologizes to the girls at school – and especially to Rosa – for a stupid action in sincere Bela manner. Only Rosa doesn’t attach any importance to it. Things also get difficult for Reena. Flora seems to be using her for her revenge. Reena has to decide: does she want to be loyal or does her conscience prevail?

On April 27th 2021, I shot my first take for the classic fairy tale ZITTERINCHEN. The story by Bechstein was adapted by Anja Kömmerling and Thomas Brinx in an enchanting screenplay. I am happy to direct the feature film about the little dog who trembles, the two peasant girls, the nerdy prince and the baroness and her daughter. Producer is Ingelore König from Kinderfilm GmbH. Anke Lindemann (MDR), Sabine Scheuring (MDR), Patricia Vasapollo (HR) and Michaela Herold (Radio Bremen) are responsible for editorial office. The fairy tale is part of the series “6 in one go”.
