NEBENAN | next door for 1 month in the Czech Republic

Everyone living in the Czech Republic can right now watch my movie NEXT DOOR online and for free as part of the 12th Queer Film Festival MEZIPATRA 2011. The film was shown and very well received during their last years festival and the organisers wanted to bring it back to this years‘ festival in form of online-streaming. Alle, die in Tschechien leben, können sich genau jetzt (und ein paar weitere Tage / Wochen) meinen Film NEBENAN online und umsonst anschauen. Das ganze ist Teil des 12th Queer Film Festival Mezipatra 2011. Im letzten Jahr wurde mein Film schon erfolgreich in Brünn aufgeführt und die Organisatoren des Festivals hatten großes Interesse, ihn in diesem Jahr zurückzubringen. EVA in Rostock

On Friday, the 14th of October 2011, the Queer Film Fest Rostock showed my film „EVA“ to an interested audience. It was the premiere on a festival for the film that I shot mostly on my own between December 2010 and January 2011. You can also watch it on my website.

Am Freitag, dem 14. Oktober 2011, hat das Queer Film Fest Rostock meinen Film „EVA“ uraufgeführt. Den Film, den ihr euch auch auf meiner Website angucken könnt, habe ich größtenteils alleine (mit Eva vor der Kamera) zwischen Dezember 2010 und Januar 2011 produziert.

Studying in England

It’s been one month, since I moved from Berlin – the capital of Germany – to Farnham – a small town near the capital of England. I am currently studying in the 2nd year of the BA (Hons) Filmproduction course at the University for the Creative Arts – preparing our next S16mm-projects as a director.

If you need to contact me by post or phone, just let me know, and I will send you my new contact details. (I still also have the same old address and number in Berlin.)

Vor etwa einem Monat bin ich von Berlin in die Nähe von London umgezogen. An der University for the Creative Arts werde ich in den nächsten zwei Jahren meinen Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Filmproduction mit einem Fokus auf Regie machen. Momentan bereiten wir unser nächstes S16mm-Projekt vor.

TIK Berlin

Zwei wunderschön ineinanderverwobene Workshops im TIK-Berlin haben mich Anfang August beschäftigt. Carsten Meeners und Paul Schwesig zeigten mir und etwa 10 weiteren Teilnehmern neue Wege des Improvisations- und Performance-Theaters. Das alles mündete in einem kurzweiligen Intermezzo am 13.August, das im Theater im Kino Süd in der Boxhagener Straße stattfand.

Auch wenn es schon etwas zurückliegt, hat es mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht und ich wünsche allen Beteiligten alles Gute auf ihrem weiterem Weg. Außerdem möchte ich allen Interessierten das Theater im Kino (www.theater-im-kino.de) empfehlen! Schaut mal vorbei und – am Besten – macht selbst mit!

Shortfilm RYKE | Kurzfilm RYKE

Vor etwa zwei Wochen drehte Markus Morkötter einen Film für die Filmarche Berlin. Er besetzte mich für die Hauptrolle in seinem Kurzfilm RYKE, nachdem der angehende Cutter zuvor zur Abschlusspräsentation der Schauspielfabrik Berlin gekommen war. Der Dreh dauerte 2 Tage, geschnitten wurde in Rekordzeit und das Ergebnis kann sich wirklich sehen lassen. Es hat mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht und ich wünsche Regisseur und dem gesamten Team weiterhin viel Erfolg!

About two weeks ago, Markus Morkötter shot a filmlet for his application at the Filmarche Berlin. He casted me for the main role RYKE after having seen me perform at the final presentation at the Schauspielfabrik Berlin. We shot on 2 days. The editing was done very quickly and the result is very satisfactory. I had  a lot of fun and I wish everyone in the team only the best for their future (and) career!

NEBENAN in Rom! (next door in Rome)

Mein Film Nebenan wird im Juni beim Europride in Rome zu sehen sein. Das Torino GLBT Film Festival organisiert zwischen dem 3. und 5.Juni 2011 einen „special event“ in Italiens Hauptstadt. My film NEBENAN (next door) will be screened during the next EUROPRIDE in Rome. The Torino GLBT Film Festival is organizing a special event, which will take place between the 3rd and 5th of June in the Italian capital city. Some of the movies, that have already been screend in Torino in May, can be watched again at NUOVO CINEMA AQUILA in Rome.

NEBENAN im Juni in Wien!

Heute erreichte mich die Nachricht, dass NEBENAN in diesem Jahr auf dem Identities Festival in Wien läuft. Die nette Mel, die ich schon in Hamburg und Bremen bei den Festivals 2010 getroffen hatte, gab mir Bescheid, dass der Film am 4.Juni um 12 Uhr im Filmcasino zu sehen sein wird.

Also, liebe Österreicher und Freunde, die Lust auf einen Wienbesuch haben: Auf ins Filmcasino!
