Emmas Welt – Staffel 1 Episode 1

Synopsis: Emma stellt fest, dass ihr Verlobter sie betrügt. Sie wirft ihn aus der gemeinsamen Wohnung, nur um festzustellen, dass es eigentlich seine Wohnung ist. Danach muss sie auch kündigen, denn er ist ja auch ihr Boss. Single, obdachlos und arbeitssuchend, versucht sie ihr Leben neu zu ordnen.

Synopsis: Emma has just found out that her fiancé is cheating on her. That’s why she has also thrown him out of her apartment. Unfortunately, it was his apartment not hers… She also has to quit her job, because her fiancé is, or rather was, her boss, too. As a jobless and homeless single, she now tries to rearrange her life.

EMMAS WELT Premiere in Berlin

Am Samstag, dem 1. März 2014, habe ich zusammen mit Team und Freunden die Premiere der neuen Webserie, EMMAS WELT, in Berlin gefeiert. Es war ein wunderschöner Abend und ein erster Erfolg, der nicht nur die Herzen sondern auch die Lachmuskeln des Publikums bewegte.

On Saturday, 1st March 2014, I celebrated the premiere of the new web series, EMMA’S WORLD, together with the team and some friends in Berlin. It was a great evening and a first success that left its crowd laughing – some even with tears in their eyes.

My shortfilm, COURTAGE, was screened within the program of the ‚ifs Begegnungen‘ this wednesday at Filmforum Cologne. Around noon the same day, the radio station, WDR 5, broadcasted an interview with director, Levin Hübner, and me. You can still listen to it online here.

COURTAGE im Filmforum Köln

Mein neuer Kurzfilm, COURTAGE, der im 2.Studiensemester an der ifs entstand, wird gleich zwei Mal in diesem Monat im Filmforum Köln zu sehen sein.
Am 24.Juli 2013 um 19 Uhr wird COURTAGE innerhalb der ifs-Begegnungen (ifs-Begegnung_Kurzfilm) zusammen mit weiteren, ausgewählten Kurzfilmen der ifs gescreent.
Am 27.Juli 2013 um 19 Uhr gibt es ein Family & Friends Screening aller Filme aus dem 2. Studiensemester. Der Eintritt ist für beide Veranstaltungen kostenlos.

My new short, COURTAGE, will be screened twice this month at Filmforum Cologne. It was made as part of the second semester courses at ifs international filmschool cologne. The film will be screened for free at the following dates:
July 24th – 19:00 – ifs-Begegnungen (ifs-Begegnung_Kurzfilm) with more selected shorts from ifs international filmschool cologne
July 27th – 19:00 – Family & Friends-screening of all second semester films

EMMAS WELT

I am currently directing four episodes for the first season of the new webseries EMMAS WELT (Emma’s world). The series tells the story about Emma, a woman in her mid twenties, who has just broken up with her fiancé, lost her job and her home, and is now moving in with her playground love, Tom, in a flatshare in Berlin, looking for a new job, a new life and a new love. Momentan drehe ich 4 Folgen für die erste Staffel der neuen Webserie EMMAS WELT. In der Serie geht es um Emma, eine Frau Mitte 20, die gerade von ihrem Verlobten betrogen worden ist, ihren Job und ihr zu Hause verloren hat, und nun zu ihrer heimlichen Jugendliebe, Tom, nach Berlin zieht, wo sie einen neuen Job, ein neues Leben und eine neue Liebe sucht. NEXT DOOR in Melbourne | NEBENAN in Melbourne

The Melbourne Queer Film Festival has selected my film NEXT DOOR to screen at the 23rd festival, which  will take place between March 14 – 25 2013. You can see the film on Saturday, 23rd of March, at 12:00pm at ACMI Cinema 2 (Program: Boobtube). „The Festival is the largest and most successful queer film festival in Australia. Each year the Festival screens over 100 sessions of features, documentaries and short films from Australia and around the world over 11 days, and is fast growing in prestige and popularity. Over 25,000 patrons attended our 2012 Festival. Das Melbourne Queer Film Festival hat meinen Film, NEBENAN, in das Programm für das diesjährige, 23ste Festival aufgenommen. Der Film läuft am 23.März 2013 um 12:00 im ACMI Cinema 2 (im Programm Boobtube). Das Festival ist das größte und das erfolgreichste queer film festival in Australien. Jedes Jahr veranstaltet es mehr als 100 Screenings von Spielfilmen, Dokumentarfilmen und Kurzfilmen aus Australien und aus der ganzen Welt. Mehr als 25,000 Gäste sind im vergangenen Jahr zum Festival gekommen. Das Festival zeigt seine Filme an 3 Orten in Melbourne, unter anderem dem „Australian Centre for the Moving Image“. EVA beim FemFest in Würzburg!

Wer am 22.11. in Würzburg ist, sollte sich das FemFest nicht entgehen lassen. Neben Vortrag + Diskussion zum Thema Feminismus wird unter anderen mein Kurzfilm „EVA“ gezeigt.

Einlass ist um 19:30 Uhr.

On the 22th November my film „EVA“ will be screening at the FemFest Würzburg. Next to a talk and a discussion about feminism today, the shortfilm will be shown as part of a film programm that adds to the evening.

CLOUDATLAS DI

Finished working on the DI of the new Tykwer/Wachoswki project CLOUDATLAS. Spend my whole summer working with wonderful people on this great film.

It has already screened at the Toronto film festival and will come to Germany in November, I think.

Meine Arbeit im DI vom CLOUDATLAS – dem neuen Film von Tom Tykwer und Andy und Lana Wachowski – ist vorbei. Habe den ganzen Sommer mit wundervollen Menschen an diesem tollen Film gearbeitet.

Den Trailer könnt ihr hier sehen. Eine deutsche Version wird es auch bald geben.

Auf dem Filmfestival in Toronto gab es den Film bereits zu sehen. Nach Deutschland wird er, glaube ich, im November kommen.

NEXT DOOR was selected for the official programm of Canada’s InsideOut Filmfestival in Toronto.

Inside Out is the largest queer film festival in Canada and the third largest in the world. The festival attracts more than 33.000 audience members and hundreds of industry professionals from across North America and Europe.

NEXT DOOR will be screened on the 23rd of May 2012. So, if anyone fancies a visit to Toronto and going to a nice festival..

NEBENAN ist ins offizielle Programm des InsideOut Filmfestivals in Toronto, Canada, aufgenommen worden. InsideOut ist das größte Queerfilmfestival in Kanada und das drittgrößte weltweit. Es kommen jedes Jahr mehr als 33.000 Zuschauer und Hunderte von Profis aus Nordamerika und Europa zusammen.

NEBENAN wird am 23.Mai 2012 gezeigt, falls jemand zufällig in Toronto ist und/oder LUst auf ein schönes Festival-programm hat.
